2012 Christ In Youth (CIY)

It's that time of year again, where the temperature begins getting a little warmer, and we begin thinking about summer activities. This year, high school, and upcoming high school students will have the opportunity to attend the CIY Conference in Cleavland TN. Based on last years expenses, the fees for each child attend will be $420.00 We will be leaving from North Forsyth High School at 8:00 am on Sunday, July 22nd, and will be returning on the evening of Friday, July 27th.

The conference begins on Sunday afternoon, and runs through Thursday evening. This even is packed with great speakers, learning opportunities, worship time, and too many things for me to list here. For more detailed information, you may visit www.ciy.com/move, or contact Wally or Jenny. Additional information will be forthcoming over the next few months, in preparation for our trip. Bridges youth have attended this event for the past four years, and each year we are amazed at how much God changes their lives during the week long event.

To help you better understand the cost, I've tried to break down the $420 for you below.

Total Due - $420.00

CIY Admonition Fee $269 per person (includes lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner for most days)
Rafting Event #1 $40
Rafting Event #2 $25
Transportation Expenses $86 (Jus an estimate, as we don't know gas prices, and total number of kids can change this number)*

* Last year we had a little money left over, so we used that money to treat the kids to a nice dinner on the way home.

In addition to the $420 money that will be collected up front, each child is encouraged to bring some spending money, for things like CD's, T-shirts, and the potential late night run to Chick-Fl-a & Taco Bell. They will also need to pay for their food while on the trip to TN and on the way back home. Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) are provided by CIY while at the conference.

If your child is planning on attend, please let me know ASAP, so I can make sure you have all the information that you will need in a timely manner. CIY requires a deposit to reserve our space, and all of those attending will need to be registered at the same time, to ensure that we are all placed together. These are NOT co-ed dorms, so this means all girls together, …. all boys together. Parents, you may breathe easier now!

I'm asking for the first deposit of $100 to be turned in to me by April 1st.

Please make your checks payable to Bridges Church, and put your child's name and CIY on the memo field, (or attach a sticky note so we get it applied to the right account). Do not put the checks in the offering, but please give them to me. This way I can ensure that they don't get applied to the wrong account, and you get the proper credit for your child.
